LONDON OLYMPICS UPDATE- TEAM USA BLOWS OUT FRANCE
US off to hot start, routs France in opener
LONDON (AP) — The shrill of whistles came fast and furious. For a stretch in the first half, it seemed the US Olympic men's basketball team was having more trouble with the referees than with France.
"There were calls being called that didn't seem right," said forward Carmelo Anthony. "One time down the floor they called it this way, and one time they called it that way."
This squad of Americans will have to make some adjustments as the competition continues, but Sunday they overcame their own sloppiness, the refs and a sluggish start to beat France 98-71 in their tournament opener.
Kevin Durant scored 22 points in his Olympic debut, Kevin Love had 14 and LeBron James added nine points, five rebounds and eight assists.
As openers go, the US wasn't dreamy, but still dominant.
The US only led by one point after the first quarter but outscored a France team featuring Tony Parker and five other NBA players 76-50 over the final three periods.
"We got stops and made shots," Durant said, explaining the turning point. "Simple enough."
If it was only that easy.
The Americans became flustered in the first half when they whistled for 18 fouls, some of them on silly reach-ins. As they left the court leading by 16 at halftime, the US players reminded each other that they would have to play much smarter if they intend to win gold medals.
"Our mindset is that from here on out that's how it's going to be officiated," said Anthony, who didn't start and then was forced to the bench in the first half after picking up his third personal.
Durant said he and his teammates let some of the calls affect their play. Not again.
"It's tough, but we know now," he said. "We can't worry about the refs and just play our game. Guys played hard even though there were some calls that didn't go our way. That's the name of the game. We just gotta keep playing through it."
Seeking a second straight gold to match the redemptive one they captured in Beijing four years ago, the Americans expected a tough test from the French. They got enough of one to keep coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff busy and this superstar-laden squad from feeling too comfortable.
"It wasn't perfect," said James, who only took six shots while setting up his teammates. "We've still got room for improvement. We had too many turnovers, too many fouls and we had a couple of defensive rebounds we could have come up with. But overall, we played a pretty good game for as close to 40 minutes as possible."
Parker, who wore goggles to protect his left eye which was injured by broken glass during a nightclub brawl in New York, didn't want to concede anything to the Americans.
But when asked if the US team can be beaten, San Antonio's All-Star guard took a contemplative pause before responding.
"They're going to be very, very tough to beat," Parker said.
At times, the Americans' offense was erratic. The US missed its first six 3-pointers and settled too quickly for jump shots instead of driving to the basket. But France wasn't able to capitalize as the U.S. turned up its defensive pressure and forced 18 turnovers.
With first lady Michelle Obama on hand to cheer on the US, Durant, Anthony and Tyson Chandler added nine rebounds apiece for the Americans, who will next play Tuesday against Tunisia.
As they left the floor, the US players stopped to hug Mrs. Obama, who can report back to her commander in chief husband that his favorite team has taken its first step toward gold.
With the US leading 52-36 at halftime, Durant opened the second half with a 3-pointer, Bryant dropped one from long range and after James dunked an alley-oop pass from Deron Williams, the Americans led 64-43.
TEEN'S CHOICE AWARD DISAPOINTMENT
the teen's choice award 2012 is quite a disappointment for the fans of the American pie franchise after not winning the Choice Movie: Comedy. I watch the teen's choice award myself and I really felt the disappointment I have watched both 21jump street and the American reunion. The American Reunion was legendary, it was awesome to see Stiefmaster back, Jason Biggs as a daddy now and Kevin have a beard and Nova. The move was very hilarious that I repeat watching it three times. For the 21 jump street ... its a okay movie quite funny in some parts when they return in high school as an undercover agents but again for me it doesn't have the feel that it will stay in my heart for a while.. so I will live you the verdict

NBA SEASON 2012-13 Openning upadate
Celtics 2012-13 Schedule Released: What to Watch For

In
what always serves as a bit of a bonus during the dog days of a
basketball-free summer, the NBA unveiled their full 82-game schedule
earlier tonight for all 30 teams around the league, including your
Boston Celtics. This year’s slate looks even better than usual, as
instead of 66 games crammed into four months of action, we’re back to
the complete slate of games, over a more reasonable six months. Without
further ado, let’s take a look at a few of the notable items from
today’s release involving the C’s:Games of Note:
October 30th: Celtics @ Heat 8 P.M. TNT
Opening night is always exciting and will be magnified as Boston faces off with the defending champs. Plus…what’s that you say? Ray Allen plays for the Heat now?!? Oh boy, this should be something.
November 2nd: Bucks @ Celtics 7:30 P.M. ET CSN
The Bucks aren’t anything special, but the second game of the season will serve as the team’s home opener on a Friday night.
November 23rd: Thunder @ Celtics 7:30 P.M. ET NBA TV
Enjoy your Thanksgiving leftovers with a dose of Kendrick Perkins, Kevin Durant, and company in what is always a fun day-night Bruins-C’s doubleheader at the Garden on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
December 25th: Celtics @ Nets 12 P.M. ET ESPN
Doc Rivers won’t be happy that the Magic are less relevant than ever now, as the C’s are forced to play in New York on Christmas for the second straight year instead of near his home in Orlando. Boston hits the west coast after this contest.
January 7th: Celtics @ Knicks 7:30 P.M. CSN
Takes 30+ games to see the revamped Atlantic Division rivals for the C’s. Will the reign of domination continue over NYK?
January 27th: Heat @ Celtics 1:00 P.M. ABC
Really curious to see what will be the cheer/boo breakdown at the Garden for Allen at this one. 70 percent boos/30 percent cheers? Will 40+ games of the season passing help ease the pain for bitter Boston fans? Will the two-minute montage tribute at the first timeout bring the house down? Beyond the opener, this may be one of the most anticipated games of the entire NBA season.
February 7th: Lakers @ Celtics 8:00 P.M. TNT
These Garden matchups between the cross-country rivals have been decided in the closing moments for four straight years. With Steve Nash now in LA, another element of intrigue is also in play.
February 17th: All-Star Game 8:00 P.M. TNT
How many will be there from the revamped Celtics roster?
March 6th: Celtics @ Pacers 8:00 P.M. CSN
Will these two be battling for positioning behind the Heat for the 2-3 seeds in the East? Barring injuries, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them back both back at the top.
April 17th: Celtics @ Raptors 8:00 P.M. CSN
Regular season finale! Hopefully the Raptors will have packed it for awhile at this point.
We get into the nitty-gritty of this packed slate, and show you the full schedule, after the jump
The Nitty-Gritty
— 18 of those 22 back-to-backs end on the road. This is largely due to scheduling the TD Garden with the Boston Bruins
Rest Breakdown:
0 days rest: 22 games
1 day rest: 39 games
2 days rest: 19 games
3 days rest: 8 games (tied for most in NBA)
What It Means: The return of practice! With multiple days off between one-third of their contests this season, Doc Rivers and company will be able to hit the practice floor more often than not for a change.
Trip Breakdowns:
—One five-game trip in late February (@Denver, @LA Lakers, @Phoenix, @Portland, @Utah)
—One four-game trip in late December (@Brooklyn, @LA Clippers, @Golden State, @Sacramento)
—Two three-game trips in December, (@Houston, @San Antonio, @Chicago) and March (@New Orleans, @Dallas, @Memphis)
Eastern Conference opponents:
The C’s will face their Atlantic Division rivals four times, while facing other teams in the East three or four times. Here is how those matchups breakdown:
Chicago: 4
Detroit: 3
Indiana: 3
Milwaukee:4 (All before December 21st. Get ready to see the Bucks early and often)
Cleveland: 4
Miami: 4
Atlanta: 4
Orlando: 3
Washington: 3
Charlotte: 3
Not great news with these breakdowns, as the C’s are facing (outside of Indiana) the toughest teams in the Central and Southeast divisions four times. Weaker squads like Washington, Charlotte, and Detroit they will only see three times during the year. Not the biggest deal, but not ideal for Boston, as they will be in high demand for national TV showdowns against Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, etc.
Final Verdict: Beyond the road back-to-backs, which is a reality for the C’s every year, not too much to complain about here. The high number of those is balanced out by long periods of rest between eight games, which Rivers will be able to make use of. With the C’s adding terrific depth at all positions this year, they should be in good shape to handle a full docket of games in 2012-13.

Kristen Stewart Apologizes for Cheating on Robert Pattinson With Directo...
Kristen Stewart and fleeting paramour Rupert Sanders have admitted to cheating on their significant others, Stewart on boyfriend and Twilight costar Robert Pattinson and Sanders on his wife of seven years, Liberty Ross.
Their dalliance has been characterized as a brief fling, and it helps that no one bothered to issue a wayward denial to throw us off the scent—but a tangled web has been woven nonetheless.
So, here's a rundown of everything we know so far about what happened and when. A cheat sheet, if you will.
Kristen publicly apologizes for cheating on Rob
March 2011: Stewart, star of three Twilight films to date and about one year into seemingly dating Pattinson (cagey, those two), signs on to star as the titular heroine in Snow White and the Huntsman, to be directed by Sanders and costarring Charlize Theron.
July 2011: Stewart, Sanders, producer Joe Roth and castmembers including Sam Claflin, Chris Hemsworth and Theron appear at Comic-Con to discuss the film in its early stages.
October 2011: Stewart finally acknowledges she's in a relationship—and she almost admits it's with Pattinson! She tells GQ she was looking forward to exploring England while in country shooting Snow White "because [her] boyfriend is English."

these days K-POP seems to be invading our culture in the music scene even to the kids on the street. You can see it in their fashion statement and their hairstyle. Sometimes seeing all this makes me missed the days of the OPM rock scene where bands such as Eraserheads, Parokya ni Edgar and Rivermaya is very popular. Loving our own music is like helping our country to grow economically. It will show our culture to the international scene which will open opportunity for our pinoy artist to show how sophisticated we are. The worst thing is we are patronizing products or music which we don't even understand.
