DLSU vs UST

it was a very exciting game to watch, no doubt about it. You can feel the hype as the match went to the second overtime. So far on watching UAAP matches it was the most exciting one and what makes the match spo interesting is the match between the Teng brothers which make big shots in the game. here's the GMA NEWS ONLINE live scoring for the match UAAP: UST vs DLSU preview and live-scoring.

Although there some parts of the which is a sloppy play for the both teams. There's a lot of  turnovers from the DLSU team which leads to UST's easy buckets and on the UST side is the questionable decisions of Abdul which makes them hanging in the thread for the two overtimes. There was also a moment that DLSU make the last shot of the second which could have them won but the ball release was too late as the clock expires for the regulation and thus send them to the first overtime. It was a very exhausting game for the players but it was the game winning shot of Mariano which secure the win for the UST Growling Tigers. They will now keep their 4th winning streak and the DLSU goes down with their 3rd losing streak after this game.

Olympic Duel-Bolt vs Blake

The countdown towards what is being hyped as the fastest race in history begins on Friday as the Olympic athletics gets under way with all eyes on the prospect of a thrilling 100m shootout.
For the first time since the advent of electronic timing, the field for the blue riband event of the Games will comprise the four fastest men in history -- champion Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay.
Bolt rewrote the record books at the 2008 Beijing Games with a dazzling sprint double that turned logic on its head and forced a recalibration of what had previously been thought humanly possible.
The good news for the London organisers is that the ebullient 25-year-old is back, professing himself ready to mount a successful defence of his 100m and 200m titles from four years ago in his bid to "become a legend".
"I am the Olympic champion and I have to show the world I am the best," Bolt said on the eve of the Games.
The even better news is that he will have a titanic battle on his hands, the first chinks in his armour revealed when he was beaten in both the 100 and 200m in the Jamaican Olympic trials by training partner Blake.
Blake, crowned world champion in Daegu last year after Bolt sensationally false started in the final, is a serious gold medal contender.
"My philosophy is that the sky's the limit," Blake said. "I've always wanted to be at the Olympics. It's everyone's dream.
"I've got no message for Usain Bolt. He's a good guy. I'm not focusing on Usain."
Other rivals in the 100m will likely be another Jamaican, Powell and the Americans, Gay and Justin Gatlin.
Gatlin won the 100m title in Athens in 2004 but was barred from defending his title in Beijing after he was banned for doping offences.
Gay, who has committed to racing just the 100m in London, has made a slow start to the season, but came through the US trials alongside Gatlin, and said he was ready for the challenge after an injury-plagued period.
"It's a lot of pressure, I'm not going to lie. The missing piece in my heart is an Olympic medal," said Gay, who will turn 30 four days after the 100m final on Sunday.
"It's really special to come here and compete for a medal. I came up short in 2008.
"Now I'm fully focused on these Games, and not my age or 2016, to leave with a medal."
But athletics is not all about one man and his roadshow, although meeting organisers and the general public may beg to differ.
Track and field will run from Friday through until August 12, the last 10 days of the Games, at the newly-built Olympic Stadium, with an estimated 2,000 athletes competing in 47 events.
The men will compete in 24 events and the women in 23, with the latter's schedule lacking the gruelling 50km race walk.
The US team suffered one of its worst showings in Olympics history but still finished atop the gold medal standings in Beijing thanks to its men's 4x400m relay squad winning the penultimate race of the competition.
The Americans finished with seven golds, nine silvers and seven bronzes for a total of 23. Russia came second with 18 medals (six gold, five silver, seven bronze and Jamaica third with six golds, three silvers and two bronzes.
Kenya bumped up their medal count to 14 (5-5-4) with gold medal-winning performances in the men's 800m and women's 1500m, and the late Samuel Wanjiru claiming the men's marathon title.
The US team, always happy to have their sport centre stage every four years, will again be major contenders, with incredible strength in depth in the sprints and hurdles.
On the track it remains to be seen how the Ethiopian duo of Kenenisa Bekele and Tirunesh Dibaba shape up against a formidable-looking Kenyan middle and long-distance team led by 800m world record holder David Rudisha.
The two multi-medal-winning long-distance runners claimed the men and women's 5000m and 10,000m doubles within a day of each other.
But Bekele is battling to regain his form after a two-year-long battle with an achilles tendon problem, and has so far looked off the pace.
Dibaba, meanwhile, won in the 5000m at the New York Diamond League but will have her work cut out against stand-out Kenyan Vivian Cheruiyot, who claimed an impressive 5000-10,000m double at the world championships in Daegu.

The movie "KNOWING"

I have watch the movie last night and it freak me out, well it's not about the girl from 1959 to write the numbers that are the dates, casualties and location of cataclysmic event. What freak me out was the "super sun flare" that happened near the end of the movie. The devastation it caused to the earth that ended all life hence making earth a dead planet. however can this particular event happen? here are some links that I have after making a research on this case http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/space/news-solar-flares-end-world?image=1 and this one that really explains it nicely http://space.about.com/od/sunsol/a/Solar_Flare_2012_Conspiracy.htm. If you haven't watch the film yet I think you must it's a very good movie that stars Nicholas cage and after watching it think about it. Think of this question can we do something to prevent it to happen?

MAN OF STEEL WILL GIVE YOU CHILLS

the latest superman movie "the man of steel" is anticipated to be release on June 14, 2013. It's the most anticipated superman movie since Brandon Routh's Superman returns. The new "man of steel" will feature a new actor Henry Cavill which will play superman in this film alongside with veterans like Russelle Crowe, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. The movie is produced by Christopher Nolan the man behind the batman trilogy which portrays realism in batman. Judging from the trailer I think Nolan have also give the man of steel some touch of realism. The film will also be directed by Zack Snyder which is a great director and overall I have big expectation from the movie. The plot of the movie will be Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy. Overall this movie will be high grossing movie that may compared to the dark knight rises

LONDON OLYMPICS UPDATE- TEAM USA BLOWS OUT FRANCE

US off to hot start, routs France in opener
LONDON (AP) — The shrill of whistles came fast and furious.

For a stretch in the first half, it seemed the US Olympic men's basketball team was having more trouble with the referees than with France.

"There were calls being called that didn't seem right," said forward Carmelo Anthony. "One time down the floor they called it this way, and one time they called it that way."

This squad of Americans will have to make some adjustments as the competition continues, but Sunday they overcame their own sloppiness, the refs and a sluggish start to beat France 98-71 in their tournament opener.

Kevin Durant scored 22 points in his Olympic debut, Kevin Love had 14 and LeBron James added nine points, five rebounds and eight assists.

As openers go, the US wasn't dreamy, but still dominant.

The US only led by one point after the first quarter but outscored a France team featuring Tony Parker and five other NBA players 76-50 over the final three periods.

"We got stops and made shots," Durant said, explaining the turning point. "Simple enough."

If it was only that easy.

The Americans became flustered in the first half when they whistled for 18 fouls, some of them on silly reach-ins. As they left the court leading by 16 at halftime, the US players reminded each other that they would have to play much smarter if they intend to win gold medals.

"Our mindset is that from here on out that's how it's going to be officiated," said Anthony, who didn't start and then was forced to the bench in the first half after picking up his third personal.

Durant said he and his teammates let some of the calls affect their play. Not again.

"It's tough, but we know now," he said. "We can't worry about the refs and just play our game. Guys played hard even though there were some calls that didn't go our way. That's the name of the game. We just gotta keep playing through it."

Seeking a second straight gold to match the redemptive one they captured in Beijing four years ago, the Americans expected a tough test from the French. They got enough of one to keep coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff busy and this superstar-laden squad from feeling too comfortable.

"It wasn't perfect," said James, who only took six shots while setting up his teammates. "We've still got room for improvement. We had too many turnovers, too many fouls and we had a couple of defensive rebounds we could have come up with. But overall, we played a pretty good game for as close to 40 minutes as possible."

Parker, who wore goggles to protect his left eye which was injured by broken glass during a nightclub brawl in New York, didn't want to concede anything to the Americans.

But when asked if the US team can be beaten, San Antonio's All-Star guard took a contemplative pause before responding.

"They're going to be very, very tough to beat," Parker said.

At times, the Americans' offense was erratic. The US missed its first six 3-pointers and settled too quickly for jump shots instead of driving to the basket. But France wasn't able to capitalize as the U.S. turned up its defensive pressure and forced 18 turnovers.

With first lady Michelle Obama on hand to cheer on the US, Durant, Anthony and Tyson Chandler added nine rebounds apiece for the Americans, who will next play Tuesday against Tunisia.

As they left the floor, the US players stopped to hug Mrs. Obama, who can report back to her commander in chief husband that his favorite team has taken its first step toward gold.

With the US leading 52-36 at halftime, Durant opened the second half with a 3-pointer, Bryant dropped one from long range and after James dunked an alley-oop pass from Deron Williams, the Americans led 64-43.
